Friends of Extension & 4-H in Douglas/Sarpy County Foundation supports and enhances the University of Nebraska Extension and 4-H programs in Douglas and Sarpy counties.
The Extension and 4-H programs in Douglas and Sarpy counties offer several educational and development opportunities in a wide variety of areas of interest to youth and adults in both urban and rural communities. We are proud of what these valuable organizations do for our community, and support the efforts of Extension and 4-H through our advocacy, grants, and development.

"Know How. Know Now." Extension helps Nebraskans transform knowledge into "know how"—having confidence, skill and understanding to make better decisions about businesses, communities, families and personal lives. Nebraska's network of extension offices ensure that services span statewide. Our office covers Douglas and Sarpy County, and serves the largest and fastest growing area of the state. Our staff of 31 serves this diverse, rural and urban population, providing educational programming and expertise in horticulture, foods and nutrition, youth and family, agriculture and 4-H, technology, home environment, storm water management and more. DOUGLAS/SARPY 4-H COUNCIL:
The UNL Extension in Douglas/Sarpy 4-H program is open to any youth ages 5-18, and has something for everyone! The 4-H programs provide an extensive breadth and depth of experiences, teaching skills that last a lifetime. Youth learn critical thinking skills, problem solving, and respect through projects. Projects also place an emphasis on making healthy lifestyle choices and hands-on activities that assist with career preparation. Visit the Douglas/Sarpy 4-H Council site
